Queen Rearing Course 2013 will be hosted at the Michigan State University Date:  August 17/18, 2013 Time: 8:30 to 5 pm Topics covered will include: honey bee sex determination, queen-worker differentiation, different methods for queen rearing, mating biology of queens and drones, control of mating and basic steps in queen rearing. Students will have a chance to prepare for larval grafting, grafting and making a starer colony. Cost: $150 for both days.     The Central Michigan Group Sierra Club is looking for a speaker at our General Meeting the last week in October. We would love to have you speak at the East Lansing Public Library about Bee Colony Collapse. Our members are very interested in this topic and it would be a privilege to have an expect like yourself speak to the community. The meetings are open to the general public and are free. Please let us know if you are interested and what kind fee may be involved.
